What do you need when you are traveling? A safe place where you can enjoy a moment of relaxation, good food and anything you need for your further journey. 'Eat, shop, rest and play'. Good parking, a fuel station, places to play with your children, a good retail and gastronomic offer and of course clean toilets. That is what the Safaricentre is offering their traveling customers. Great multifunctional locations on strategic locations.

Convenience and comfort
JDV is currently part of the development team of the location Naivasha. The project is designed as an oasis along the way from Nairobi to Uganda. A key location where at least 100,000 vehicles pass every week and that is also close to a strongly growing residential area. On location there will be circa 3000 m2 divided in different retail and gastronomic units. Safaricentre is the first to realize high quality rest centres in Kenya where convenience is combined with high comfort. The project will be anchored by a Naivas supermarket and have a large choice of gastronomy concepts. Besides that, there will be several smaller retailers and services like a pharmacy, a gasstation and a Loo4U.  All the units are connected with each other by terraces and gardens. For the children there will be play gardens and grass areas to run and play around.

Architectural and landscape design of the flagship Naivasha
We are responsible for the design; the architectural and landscape design. We worked on the facade, routing and urban planning. As JDV works together with Naivas on different stores we where also involved in the Naivas store in the Safaricentre. In this Safaricentre project all our different expertises come together.
